Set in 15 acres of stunning prairie with beautiful views, on the borders of the Lot & Garonne, Dordogne and Lot departments, Combes is a pretty hamlet with three beautifully restored gites, catering particularly for family holidays. The stone built houses have been sympathetically restored by local artisans, retaining many original features and are furnished to combine traditional furniture and modern requirements.
Each house has been equipped with children in mind (although they are not obligatory), including stairgates, high chairs, travel cots, changing mats, games area & swings. There is a private or shared pool for each house and private terracing with Bar-B-Q and garden furniture to allow you to enjoy the warm evenings, listening to the crickets in peace.
Just five minutes drive from the stunning Chateau of Bonaguil, and the village of Sauveterre La Lemance (offering shop, bar and restaurant facilities), there are also many of the famous Bastide towns and villages (Monflanquin, Belves, Villefranchne-du-Perigord, Issigeac to name but a few) with their weekly traditional markets within a short drive. For those who wish to experience local French life to the full, there are weekly marche de producteurs (local farmer's markets) (Sauveterre, Loubejac) allowing you to mix with the locals and sample their fayre. Larger towns include Villeneuve-sur-Lot and Agen (the capital of Lot & Garonne).
